Pilar Cortés Pizarro has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies.

From October 2020 to the present, Pilar has been working at Protera as an Operations Director, CL. Before this, from 2014 to 2020, they worked at Bayer and its subsidiary Monsanto, holding roles such as Strategy & Business Support Specialist, Innovation Management Office, and SAM Customer Care Process & Analytics Analyst.

Pilar's earlier career includes working at Monsanto as an Inventory Management Chief, SAM, Business Improvement Coordinator, Genetic Purity Lab Coordinator, and Genetic Purity Lab Analyst.

Prior to joining the industry, Pilar had a research role as a Biotechnologist Researcher at Universidad Católica del Norte, where they worked on the Spence's mine bioleaching heap Project.

Overall, Pilar has demonstrated expertise in operations, strategy, business support, customer care, inventory management, and lab coordination.

Pilar Cortés Pizarro has a diverse educational background. In 1999, they completed their high school education at Colegio Sagrados Corazones in La Serena. Following that, they pursued a Licenciatura en Ingeniería en Biotecnología Molecular (Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biotechnology) at Universidad de Chile from 2000 to 2006. In 2008 and 2009, Pilar completed a Diplomado en Evaluación y Gestión de Proyectos (Diploma in Project Evaluation and Management) at the same university. Later, from 2014 to 2016, they obtained a Magíster en Control de Gestión (Master's degree in Management Control) also from Universidad de Chile. In 2018, Pilar pursued further education at Universidad de Chile, specializing in Finanzas (Finance) through a Diplomado en Contabilidad y Finanzas (Diploma in Accounting and Finance). Additionally, Pilar has obtained certifications as an Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2008 from Applus+ in June 2010 and ISO 9001:2015 from Bureau Veritas Group in July 2019.
