Brian Volkman is a distinguished Professor of Biochemistry at the Medical College of Wisconsin, leading a structural biology research group since November 2000. This group utilizes techniques such as NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography to explore the structural mechanisms of chemokine signaling and the conformational flexibility of various proteins. In addition to academic responsibilities, Brian Volkman serves as Chief Scientific Officer at XLock Biosciences, LLC, and President of Protein Foundry, LLC. Recently, Brian Volkman has taken on the role of Visiting Researcher at The University of Queensland from January to May 2024. Brian Volkman earned a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a BS in Chemistry and Physics from Butler University.
