Steven Wilkens has worked at several companies in the biopharma and pharmaceutical industry. Steven currently holds the position of Senior Director and Head of Computational and Data Sciences at Protego Biopharma since March 2022. Previously, they worked at Erasca, Inc. from 2019 to 2022, initially as an Associate Director of Computational Chemistry and later as a Director of Computational Chemistry and Research Informatics. Before that, they owned their own consulting company, Steven Wilkens Consulting, LLC, from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they had roles as a Senior Scientist at Takeda California, Inc. and Kalypsys, Inc. from 2006 to 2016 and 2005 to 2006 respectively. Steven started their career as a Principle Scientist at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation, where they worked from 2001 to 2005.

Steven Wilkens received their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Minnesota in 1996. Steven then pursued further education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Biophysics from 1996 to 2001.
