Felipe Herrera worked at PROTECCIÓN S.A. from 2006. Felipe started as the Head of Quantitative Research in November 2006 and held this position until August 2014. From September 2014 to October 2016, they worked as the Head of FX and Fixed Income. From October 2016 onwards, Felipe served as the Chief Investment Officer at PROTECCIÓN S.A. In addition to this, they also worked at Bancolombia as an Estructurador from March 2006 to November 2006.

Felipe Herrera's education history includes a Master of Science in Finance from the Boston College Carroll School of Management obtained from 2011 to 2012, an Especialización en Ingeniería Financiera (Specialization in Financial Engineering) from Universidad Nacional de Colombia obtained from 2005 to 2006, and a degree in Ingeniería Administrativa (Industrial Engineering) from Universidad Nacional de Colombia obtained from 1999 to 2004.
