Diana Carreño is a Staff Scientist at Protagonist Therapeutics since August 2023, with previous experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at UC Irvine from September 2018 to March 2023, where research focused on the genetic mechanisms of adolescent nicotine addiction, resulting in three publications. Prior roles include Research Associate II at Relypsa, contributing to the development of polymer-based medicines from July 2015 to March 2018, and Research Associate at Nektar Therapeutics, conducting in vitro metabolism assays and data organization from February 2014 to July 2015. Diana also held positions as a Biology Data Specialist and Research Intern at Nektar Therapeutics, engaging in various research projects involving G-protein coupled receptors.
