Mahmoud Alaa has a strong background in DevOps and software development. Mahmoud is currently working as a DevOps Lead Engineer at Protagona since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Shared Cloud DevOps Engineer at Orange Business Services from October 2020 to September 2021.

In 2018, Mahmoud Alaa joined the Information Technology Institute (ITI) to obtain a 9-Month Professional Diploma. Mahmoud'sfocus was on Cloud Platform Development, and they completed the program in 2019.

Mahmoud continued expanding their skillset by acquiring the "Introduction to Data Science in Python" certification through Coursera in September 2017.
In November 2018, Mahmoud completed the "Android Developer" and "Data Analyst" certifications through Udacity.
Throughout 2019, they added to their qualifications with the "Kanban System Design - KMP I" and "Kanban Management Professional - KMP II" certifications, offered by LeanKanban University.
During 2020, Mahmoud focused on cloud infrastructure, obtaining several certifications, namely "Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure," "Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation," "Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services," and "Getting Started with Azure." These certifications were granted through Coursera.
In 2021, Mahmoud obtained multiple certifications related to Amazon Web Services (AWS), including "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate" in April, "AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical)" in October, and "AWS Partner: Accreditation (Business)" in November.
Similarly, in November 2021, they achieved the "GitLab Solutions Architect" certification and the "GitLab Solutions Architect Core Verified Associate" certification, though the institution providing the latter certification is unspecified.
Looking ahead, Mahmoud has plans to obtain the "CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator" certification from The Linux Foundation in February 2023. Additionally, they are already an "AWS re/Start Accredited Instructor" certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
