Melissa Motzkau's work experience includes a role as a Scientist Mass Spectrometry at ProtaGene since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Application Specialist for Mass Spectrometry at Protagen Protein Services GmbH starting in November 2020. Melissa also received a scholarship from Bielefeld University's Bielefelder Nachwuchsfond from April 2020 to November 2020. Before that, Melissa worked as a Research Assistant in Cell culture technology at Bielefeld University from September 2019 to February 2020.

Melissa Motzkau pursued their education in the field of biotechnology at Bielefeld University. From 2014 to 2017, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biotechnology. Continuing their academic journey, Melissa enrolled at Bielefeld University for a Master of Science degree in biotechnology from 2017 to 2020.
