Jeff Frankl is a seasoned Product Designer and UX Engineer currently working with ProPublica and Earth Genome, where responsibilities include applying user-centered design to editorial products and developing an AI-powered satellite imagery search tool. Previously, at Azavea, Jeff served as User Experience Lead, managing a design team and overseeing the hiring process while also contributing as a User Experience Designer. Jeff has academic experience as a Lecturing Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, co-teaching a course on software development. Earlier in the career, Jeff contributed to data-driven applications as a News Apps Developer for the Philadelphia Public Interest Information Network. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Haverford College.
