Brent Young began their professional career in 2009 as a Sales Associate at Best Buy. In 2010, they joined The North Face as a Sales Associate and was promoted to Selling Supervisor, where they managed sales and stock activity, created and monitored team and individual goals, handled task delegation, and resource management. Brent also maintained The North Face volunteer program and organized activities such as the North Face run club. In 2015, they began working as a Software Development Engineer at Booking.com and as a Software Development Engineer in Test Intern at BookingSuite. In 2017, they were a Software Development Engineer at Yapta, Inc. and, in 2018, they were promoted to Senior Software Development Engineer and then Head of Engineering at Prophia, Inc.

Brent Young completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington in 2015, after taking courses at Shoreline Community College in 2013. Brent also earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington in 2012.
