Ramya Ranganathan has worked in the software industry since 1999. Ramya began their career at Iflex Solutions as a Software Engineer, where they wrote test plans, test cases and developed automated test tools. In 2000, they worked as a Programmer Analyst for Cognizant, where they worked on maintenance and enhancement of the www.biztravel.com travel website. In 2003, they were a Software Test Engineer (Lead) at Disha Technologies, where they were responsible for participating in requirement specification discussions, development of test plan/cases, testing and bug management. In 2004, they moved to American Dynamics as a Test Automation Engineer, where they developed test scripts using SILKTEST to automate testing of the Intellex Digital Video Recorder, Network Client and API. In 2006, they joined Cardinal Health (Pyxis) as a Sr. SQA Programmer/Analyst, where they automated the Patient ADT feature of the MedStation medicine dispenser. In 2018, they joined AdStage as a Software QA and Release Engineer, where they were responsible for effecting high-quality releases with minimal regressions and rollbacks for the AdStage suite of products. In 2020, they moved to Twitter as a Senior Test Engineer and then a Software Engineering Manager, where they led a team of 5 software test engineers managing the quality of the Discovery and Connect feature line. In 2023, they joined Prompt.io as a Sr. QA Engineer.

Ramya Ranganathan attended Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Finance.
