Risto Saar has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and software development. Risto is currently working as a Product Engineer at Promoty since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Producement from March 2020 to January 2021. Risto also served as a Software Developer at Iglu O? for six years, starting in 2013, where they provided support for iLog JRules, developed new features for Liferay, and supported and developed old systems with XHTML/Spring MVC Servlets. Before that, they worked as a Programmer at NORTAL from June 2010 to August 2012.

Risto Saar attended Kansai Gaidai University from 2012 to 2013, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Prior to that, they attended the University of Tartu from 2007 to 2011 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Risto Saar also obtained certification as an Oracle Certified Expert, Java EE 6 Web Component Developer from Oracle in December 2015.
