David Cooke began their professional career in 2006 as a Staff Assistant for the Office of Connecticut's 2nd congressional district. Later that year, they became an Intern, Home Sale Audit for Cartus, where they audited home sale information including home loans and escrow accounts, and initiated the necessary receivable/payable. David consistently ranked 2nd to 3rd on the Homesale Audit Team in terms of productivity. In 2007, they returned to Cartus as an IAC Intern, Goldman Sachs Account. In 2008, they were promoted to International Assignment Consultant and then to Assignment Management Consultant, GE Account. In 2010, they moved to Lexicon Relocation as a Relocation Counselor. Since 2012, they have been employed at Prometheus Research, an IQVIA business, where they have held the roles of Senior Business Analyst, Business Analyst, and Associate Analyst.

David Cooke received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Public Policy, and International Relations from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2008. David has since obtained several certifications from Coursera, including the Applied Project Management Specialization (September 2018), Project Practicum with Multiple Projects (September 2018), Project Execution (July 2018), Project Planning (February 2018), and Project Launch (November 2017).
