Sherri Cook has been involved in various roles in the professional world since 2005. Sherri began as a Summer Intern at Froehling & Robertson, Inc. in 2005, then served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech in the same year. In 2007, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant (NSF REU) at Clarkson University, followed by a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan in 2008. In 2014, they began their role as an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, and most recently became a Co-Founder & Advisor for Prometheus Materials in 2021.
Sherri Cook earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2008. Sherri then went on to receive a Master of Science in Engineering in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2009. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2014.
