Erika Carter is an experienced educator currently serving as a Dyslexia Teacher and Literacy Lead at Promesa Academy Charter School since August 2021, after previously working as an Elementary School Teacher. Between 2019 and August 2021, Erika was employed at Alamo Heights Independent School District, where responsibilities included designing instructional materials, analyzing assessments, leading professional development, and facilitating communication between departments. Prior experience at Edmond Public Schools from August 2017 to May 2019 involved similar instructional design and leadership roles, with a notable focus on team collaboration, conflict resolution, and grant writing initiatives. Erika holds a B.S.E. in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Christian University, earned in May 2017.
