Stephen Carr serves as the Vice President of Development at ProLiteracy Worldwide, where the organization has been a leader in enhancing adult literacy programs for over 60 years. Prior to this role, Stephen acted as the Chief Development Officer and consultant for The Shared Humanity Project, focusing on fostering connections for social and economic change. Stephen's previous experience includes serving as Chief Development Officer at Anderson Humane, where significant fundraising achievements were made, and Divisional Director of Philanthropy for The Salvation Army Chicago Metropolitan Division, where a transformative approach to philanthropy was implemented. Expertise extends to roles at the American Cancer Society, where strategic collaborations were developed, and at a consulting firm, where organizational growth was achieved. Additional experience includes leadership positions with Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Toy & Game Industry Foundation. Stephen holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Conflict Resolution from Lewis University and has further education from North Central College.
