Adam Okerlund has extensive experience in biochemical engineering and research, currently serving as Scientist II at Proliant Biologicals since September 2017, where responsibilities include managing research projects and developing protein purification strategies for product implementation. Prior to this role, Adam was Translational Research Manager at the Center for Biorenewable Chemicals from May 2011 to August 2017, where design and development of scalable biochemical processes took place. Adam also held positions at Novus as a Biochemical Engineer and Sr. Research Scientist focusing on metabolite separation, and at Optherion, Inc. as a Scientist constructing expression vectors. Educationally, Adam achieved a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Iowa and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University.
