Emily R. Lowry, Ph.D. has had a diverse range of work experience. Emily R. is currently working at ProJenX, Inc. as the Scientific Co-Founder and Senior Scientific Advisor since January 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, including Director of Operations, Project ALS Therapeutics Core, Associate Research Scientist, and Postdoctoral Research Scientist. Emily R. worked at Columbia University Medical Center as a Research Assistant and at Rockefeller University as a Graduate Fellow under the supervision of Principal Investigators. Emily R. also gained experience as an Intern at Mahidol University, Barnard College, and UCSF.
Emily R. Lowry, Ph.D. pursued their education with a strong focus on neuroscience and genetics. Emily R. began their academic journey in 2003 at Columbia University, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Neuroscience, specializing in Cellular Concentration. Following this, from 2003 to 2007, they attended Barnard College, where they further expanded their knowledge in Neuroscience and Behavior, again with a Cellular Concentration. Subsequently, Emily pursued their doctoral studies at The Rockefeller University, from 2007 to 2012, ultimately earning their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Neurobiology and Genetics.
