Wendy Santamaría is an experienced organizer and advocate with a focus on labor rights, community outreach, and social justice. Currently serving as an Organizer at AFSCME Local 3299, Wendy has also held positions as a Board Member for Project Super Bloom and an AD 37 Delegate for the California Democratic Party. Previous roles include organizing efforts with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, where Wendy contributed significantly to union formation and shop organization. As a Community Organizer for the Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy, Wendy led initiatives such as the Santa Barbara Rent Control Campaign. Additional experience includes serving as a Delegate for the Democratic National Committee and holding leadership roles in student organization efforts at the University of California Student Association. Wendy holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Philosophy from UC Santa Barbara.
