Guyton Colantuono has extensive experience in the field of mental health and homelessness assistance. Guyton began their career in 1996 as an Outreach Specialist at M.H.A. Village - Homeless Assistance Program, where they conducted street outreach and provided referrals to individuals with mental illness. Guyton then worked as a Program Coordinator at Mental Health America of Los Angeles Homeless Assistance Program, leading a multidisciplinary team and overseeing outreach services.
In 2002, Colantuono joined Mental Health America as a Dual Recovery Coordinator and later became the Director of the TAY program, providing intensive case management services to young adults transitioning from the juvenile justice and foster care system. Guyton then served as the Director of Programs at Mental Health Association of Los Angeles, managing a psycho social recovery program and supervising a diverse staff.
Colantuono's experience also includes roles at Pacific Clinics as an Employment Services Program Manager and at People Assisting The Homeless as the Director of Interim Housing. Guyton currently works as the Executive Director at Project Return Peer Support Network, where they provide leadership and supervision to the organization's programs, manages vendor relationships, and oversees customer relations.
Guyton Colantuono attended Concorde Career College-Garden Grove from 2003 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Vocational Nursing. Additionally, they received certification as a National Certified Peer Specialist (NCPS) from Mental Health America.
