Ed King is an experienced Lead Applications Programmer at Progressive since June 2004, specializing in performance testing and tuning of multi-tier applications across diverse environments. Previously, Ed served as an Adjunct Instructor at ITT Technical Institute for a brief period in 2009 and as an Adjunct Professor at DeVry University from August 2001 to August 2004, where course topics included Data Structures, Software Engineering, and Operating Systems. Ed has also worked as a contractor at Sterling, focusing on system performance and stability for Java-based systems, and held various technical positions at Lucent Technologies, including leading a team to manage a $5M budget and developing an application framework in C++. Earlier in the career, Ed was a Network Systems Programmer at CompuServe. Ed holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Florida State University.
