Joy Sportel is an experienced architect and urban designer currently working at Progressive AE since August 2021, focusing on creative placemaking and community engagement. Previously, Joy held the position of Design Architect at Intersect Studio, where programming and strategic space planning were emphasized. Joy began the professional journey at Kingscott Associates as an Architectural Graduate, engaging in programming and planning for educational projects, and served as an Architectural Intern at Stantec, involving various design and research initiatives. Educational background includes a Master's in Architecture and a Bachelor's in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University, with additional training in parametric design and urban studies from international institutions.
