Chowdary Potluru is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the power and engine sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Progress Rail, a Caterpillar Company, since January 2017, Chowdary previously held the position of Engineering Manager. Prior to that, Chowdary worked at Caterpillar Inc. from November 2005 to January 2017 as an Engineering Project Team Leader, where responsibilities included aligning engine strategy with market requirements and managing new product introduction programs. Chowdary also held the role of Senior Engineer, focusing on crankshaft and damper design and development, achieving significant cost savings through Six Sigma methodologies. Earlier career experience includes working as an Analysis Engineer at IDC Technical Services, specializing in torsional vibration analysis. Chowdary holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Gulbarga University.
