Giri K Vegesna is a highly experienced research chemist with a strong background in designing and synthesizing chemical compounds for various applications. Currently, Giri holds a position at Profusa, focusing on the development of near-infrared fluorescent hydrogel implants for detecting body analytes and testing their responses through advanced techniques. Prior to this, Giri served as a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley, where efforts included synthesizing drug-polysaccharide conjugates and developing imaging probes for medical diagnostics. Earlier experiences included significant research roles at Michigan Technological University, SAI Life Sciences Ltd, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, where Giri contributed to complex synthetic processes and novel material development. Giri’s academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Michigan Technological University, a Master’s degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and a Bachelor's degree in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Andhra University.
