Hugh Hernesman has extensive experience in volleyball coaching, currently serving as a PAVO Certified Line Judge for the Professional Association of Volleyball Officials since November 2017. Hernesman is also the Owner and Co-Director of the Jacksonville Skyline Juniors Volleyball Club since July 2017. Previous coaching roles include Head Volleyball Coach at Clemson University from March 2015 to March 2017, Co-Head Volleyball Coach at Northwestern State University from January 2010 to March 2015, and Assistant Volleyball Coach at Ball State University from January 2007 to January 2009. Hernesman held the position of Head Volleyball Coach at Hardin-Simmons University from February 2004 to January 2007 and served as Assistant Volleyball Coach at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater from August 1995 to February 2004, where responsibilities included teaching in the Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Coaching Department. Hernesman holds a Master of Science (MS) in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, obtained between 1988 and 1998.
