Akifumi Shimizu is an accomplished designer and pattern drafter currently employed at Proenza Schouler since May 2011. Previously, Akifumi worked as a pattern maker at Jen Kao from September 2009 to May 2011. Akifumi holds a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, obtained between 2005 and 2009.
