Eric Johann Istal started their work experience in 2014 as a Software Programmer at Brightspark OÜ. Eric Johann then worked at Proekspert AS, first as a Junior Software Engineer from July 2014 to November 2016, and then as a Software Engineer from December 2016 onwards.

Eric Johann Istal studied at Tallinn University of Technology from 2011 to 2014 and pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science. However, it is noted that they did not graduate from this program. In terms of additional certifications, Eric obtained the Magnolia CMS Associate Developer Certificate from Magnolia in January 2015. Recently, in March 2022, they completed a certification in Web Application Security from Clarified Security OÜ.
