Willem van der Merwe has extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation management, currently serving as Construction Manager at Proconics since May 2013, overseeing all aspects of construction management related to electrical equipment, including commissioning and quality assurance. Previously, Willem worked as an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician at Kelvin Power Station from March 2007 to October 2012, where responsibilities included control systems upgrades, project planning, and budget control. Prior to that, Willem was a Senior Electrician at Rooiwal Power Station from January 1996 to July 2006, focusing on maintenance, installation, and fault finding across various electrical systems. Additionally, Willem held the position of Superintendent Electrical at Pta West Power Station from October 2003 to December 2004, where duties involved managing the electrical department and supervising staff safety and operations.
