Teymour Javaherchi currently serves as a Principal CFD Engineer at PROCEPT BioRobotics since March 2023 and has held the position of Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington since September 2015, focusing on bridging R&D efforts between industry and academia while supporting students. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior R&D Engineer at Energy Recovery, Inc. where contributions involved numerical modeling of products, and as a Turbomachinery Aerodynamics Engineer at Concepts NREC, specializing in CFD design for turbomachinery. Teymour also founded the SFO-Project, an open-source initiative aimed at addressing CFD practices and facilitating knowledge sharing. Additional positions held include Engineering Faculty at Everett Community College and Research Assistant at the Northwest National Marine Renewable Energy Center, where methodologies for hydrokinetic turbine simulations were developed. Teymour obtained a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree from FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences.
