With over a decade of experience in executive protection and risk management as a security specialist and special projects agent for various security firms, Derek also has a strong background in account management, customer service, and training roles across multiple industries, including finance, retail, and telecommunications. Derek holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Eastern Oregon University and has a military background as a helicopter flight engineer in the United States Air Force.
