Kathleen McDonald is an experienced professional in the museum and cultural sector, currently serving as the Senior Director of Strategy, Programs, and Education at the Pritzker Military Museum & Library, where initiatives have notably doubled in-person attendance since January 2023. As a Non-Profit Consultant for Luca Stewardship, LLC since 1997, Kathleen has guided numerous institutions in management, policy, community development, and educational program development. Previously, as Executive Director of the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian, Kathleen led all operational aspects and managed a significant collection of Indigenous artifacts from December 2009 to August 2020. Kathleen's career also includes roles as a Realtor at Koenig and Strey, Curator of Collections at the San Diego Historical Society, and Public Historian for Exhibition Development at the Chicago Historical Society, showcasing a broad expertise in museum operations and exhibition creation. Kathleen holds a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, American Studies, and Law and Legal Institutions from Lehigh University.
