Dr. Alex Pantaleev is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at SUNY Oswego. He holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Ohio State University, as well as an undergraduate one from the American University in Bulgaria. He wrote his dissertation in the field of enterprise systems, with a focus on program analysis and data flow with the aim to improve scalability. Alex has close to two decades of software development experience and is the creator of the first Bulgarian MMO. He has written software for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Department of Defense among others, is a three-time successful participant in the Google Summer of Code program, and has worked at Google on the Google Web Toolkit. Alex teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, and Human-Computer Interaction, and sits on the board of the HCI program at SUNY Oswego. In his spare time Alex likes coding, playing computer games, programming, and devising new ways to best teach his students how to code. Perhaps you notice a trend.
