Wyatt Stayner

Deputy Editor at Prison Journalism Project

Wyatt Stayner is an experienced journalist currently serving as Deputy Editor at the Prison Journalism Project since June 2022, with previous roles including Associate Editor, Contract Editor, and Editorial Intern at the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as a Health Reporter and Features Assistant at The Columbian from September 2017 to June 2021, and as a Prep Sports Reporter and County Government Reporter at The Herald from January 2015 to June 2017. Wyatt's early career includes roles as an Editorial Intern at 5280 Magazine and Associate Editor at Ethos Magazine, as well as Enterprise Reporter at Flux Stories and Reporting Intern at Weld for Birmingham. Wyatt holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
