Alicia Hawkins possesses a wealth of experience in emergency communications and quality improvement. Currently serving as the Accreditation and Quality Improvement Manager at the Durham Emergency Communications Center since April 2024, Alicia previously held roles that include ProQa/AQUA Software Instructor at Priority Dispatch since October 2016, where instruction focused on emergency medical dispatching and software training for various emergency services. Alicia's experience also includes a tenure as Accreditation and Quality Assurance Specialist for Durham 911 from March 2017 to April 2024, and as Communications Training Officer at the Durham Emergency Communications Center from April 2008 to March 2017, following an initial role as Communications Officer at Durham 911 from January 2006 to April 2008.
