Joseph Chapman has held various roles in the past decade, beginning in 2009. Joseph's first role was as a Liver Lab Assistant for Asheville Gastroenterology. Joseph then moved on to a role as a Staff Writer for The Daily Tar Heel, and was promoted to Assistant Diversions Editor. In 2010, they held two roles simultaneously, as a Freelance for Mountain Xpress and an Information Technology Assistant for Asheville Gastroenterology. The following year, they worked as an Arts & Entertainment Intern for Mountain Xpress, a DJ for WXYC, and a Diversions Editor for The Daily Tar Heel. In 2014, Joseph Chapman became a Test Engineer and System Analyst for Principled Technologies.

Joseph Chapman attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
