Joy Barnes-Johnson is a seasoned educator with a focus on physical and earth sciences, currently serving as a Science Educator at Princeton Public Schools since September 2007. In addition to this role, Joy operates as a consultant, specializing in teacher training and curriculum development since January 2000. Educational leadership experience includes serving as WSSF Director, Lecturer, and Project Manager at the University of Wyoming from January 2014 to August 2015, and providing guidance as a Fellow Advisor for the Philadelphia Teaching Fellows from 2005 to 2009. Joy also has a background in assessment as an Assessment Specialist at Educational Testing Service (ETS) from 2002 to 2004 and previously taught at Montclair Public Schools from 1994 to 2002. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Urban Education and Leadership from Temple University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Montclair State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Johnson C. Smith University.
