Xiaolei Fan has over five years of experience in web testing, mobile testing, desktop application testing, and microservice testing. Xiaolei began their career in 2012 as a student at UMass Lowell. In 2015, they joined Primeon, Inc. as a Vulnerability Assessment Project Manager and Engineering Manager. During their time there, they built a proper threat model and used a high efficient testing methodology to conduct the testing. Xiaolei also fully understood and could interpret the security issues of each year's OWASP top 10 and financial industry VA issues, providing sufficient remediation solutions to secure systems with cost-effectiveness. Xiaolei also held roles as a Senior Information Security Engineer and a Software Engineer and Information Security Engineer.

Xiaolei Fan obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2014. In 2016, Xiaolei Fan obtained a Certified Ethical Hacker certification from the EC-Council. In 2023, Xiaolei Fan obtained an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security.
