Sol Karen Cunanan has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Business Advisor and Chief of Staff at Prime Energy since December 2021, where responsibilities include leading strategies to achieve the organization's long-term vision. Prior to this role, Sol held multiple positions at Shell Philippines Exploration B.V., including Operations Team Lead for both the Malampaya Natural Gas Plant and offshore natural gas production, where management of engineering teams and optimization of production processes were key responsibilities. Earlier career roles included Operations Improvement Engineer and Production Services Engineer, focusing on production optimization and hydrocarbon allocation. Sol's earlier experience includes positions at Chevron Geothermal Philippines Holdings, Inc. as a Business Planning Specialist and Facilities Engineer, and a brief internship at Philippine Geothermal Production Company. Sol holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines.
