Michal Štěpán has worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at Pricefx since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at CGI as a System Architect from 2016 to 2020. At CGI, they also held roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Analyst Programmer, where they led development projects and worked with Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle SQL, and other technologies. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre, focusing on machine learning and data mining tasks. Michal also gained experience as a Software Developer at Tieto and drivecont s.r.o., where they worked on J2EE web application development and created android and J2SE desktop applications.

Michal Štěpán obtained a Master's degree in Informatika a výpočetní technika from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava in the years 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they also completed a Bachelor's degree in Informatika a výpočetní technika from the same university between 2011 and 2014. In addition to their academic qualifications, Michal Štěpán has obtained a certification as a Certified SAFe® 4 Scrum Master from Scaled Agile, Inc. in November 2019.
