Mark Hughes began their career in 2002 as a Sales Representative for World Data Products. In 2004, they became an Account Manager for Office Max. In 2006, they became a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Abbott Laboratories. In 2007, they joined Hallmark Business Connections as a Senior Account Executive. In 2013, they became a Senior Account Executive for Nexus Systems, LLC. In 2017, they joined Reeher as a Strategic Sales Representative. In 2018, they moved to Blackbaud as a Senior Account Executive. Currently, they are a Strategic Account Executive - Higher Education for PreVeil.

Mark Hughes attended the Academy of the Holy Angels before graduating from the University of St. Thomas in 2002 with a B.A. in Marketing.
