Mark Bateman's work experience includes various roles in the aviation industry. Mark started their career in 2002 as the Vice President & General Manager at Goodrich. In 2005, they transitioned to TRW Automotive as a Materials Manager. In 2006, they became a Piaggio / Learjet Pilot Instructor at FlightSafety International. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Captain at Avantair, where they were qualified as a Pt. 135 PIC and flew Piaggio Avanti- P180 and Piaggio Avanti II aircraft, and also served as a Type Rated LRJET PIC. Mark then joined Executive Air Service in 2012 as a Captain, followed by Jet Access Aviation in 2012-2013. In 2013-2014, they worked as a Captain at Florida Jet Service, Inc., and briefly at Key Air in 2014 before joining Gama Aviation as a Captain from 2014 to 2017. Most recently, they have been employed at Presidential Aviation since May 2017, where they hold the role of CAM - Lead Pilot and Check Airman for Falcon 7x and Falcon 900EX EASY aircraft.
Mark Bateman completed their education in a variety of fields. Mark obtained a Bsc in Computing & Information Systems from Birmingham City University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Later, from 1992 to 1995, they pursued an Msc in Business Management Systems at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School. In 2004, Mark attended Panam International Flight training Academy for a short period, focusing on becoming a commercial pilot in Instrument/multi engine. In 2006, they spent some time at Flight Safety International, studying CFI and CFII but did not earn a degree.
