In 2012, they advanced their role and became a Clinical Nurse Specialist, focusing on providing clinical expertise and improving patient outcomes. During their time as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, they also served as the Cancer Program Director, demonstrating their ability to effectively manage and lead a specialized program. In August 2020, Sarah was promoted to Administrative Director, demonstrating their strong leadership skills and dedication to the organization. Sarah's work experience showcases their extensive knowledge in patient care, management, and leadership roles within the healthcare field.

Sarah Merkle has a Master of Science degree in Nursing from California State University-Dominguez Hills, which they completed from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the same university from 2005 to 2008.
