Rachel Mackey has a diverse work experience in the field of epidemiology. Rachel is currently working as a Principal Research Scientist at Premier Inc. since June 2020. Prior to this, they were an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, starting in October 2019. Before that, they held the position of Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the same institution from 2007 to September 2019. Rachel has also worked as a Clinical Epidemiologist at Corrona from June 2019 to June 2020. Rachel has extensive research experience, having served as a Research Associate and a Project Director/Statistician, Biobehavioral Studies of Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health from 2001 to 2006 and 2001 to 2004 respectively. Rachel began their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at the same institution from 1996 to 2001.
Rachel Mackey has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, a Masters of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology also from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, and an Artium Baccalareus (A.B.) in Social History from Princeton University.
