Juan Lerma Jr. is an experienced Emergency Medical Technician currently working at Premier Ambulance since January 2023. With a strong commitment to community service, Juan has volunteered at Father Joe's Villages and has held leadership roles within the Boy Scouts of America, including achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Juan participated in undergraduate research at the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine and completed programs such as Reach MCAT and MiMentor, focusing on preparation for medical school. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology from UC San Diego. Juan has also engaged in various roles related to health and social justice, including leadership positions in the Health and Medical Professions Preparation Program at UCSD.
