Philip Pitis is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in pharmaceutical research and development, currently serving as Research Manager and Research Scientist at Prelude Therapeutics since January 2018. Prior roles include Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at Trevena, Inc., where Philip focused on compound design and synthesis, as well as directing chemistry and pharmacology efforts. Philip's career began at Johnson & Johnson, where positions included Scientist and Senior Associate Scientist across various subsidiaries from 1981 to 2009. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science, respectively, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Villanova University.
