Susan Schiavi currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at PreciThera, Inc. since April 2016, bringing extensive experience from previous positions at Genzyme, where from January 1998 to December 2014, Susan was a Senior Scientific Director in Tissue Protection & Repair, developing science strategies and leading multi-site teams on novel therapeutic targets. Additionally, during their tenure at Genzyme from January 1993 to January 1997, Susan held the role of Staff Scientist I/II, directing studies that supported regulatory submissions for multiple products. Susan's early career includes a role as Senior/Principal Scientist at Genzyme, where Susan led research groups focusing on therapies for renal, bone, and endocrine diseases. Susan Schiavi holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from UMass Chan Medical School and a NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard Medical School.
