Cassie Gorsuch has a diverse work experience in the scientific and research field. Cassie is currently the Vice President of Gene Therapy Discovery at Precision BioSciences, Inc., where they previously held positions as Director, Associate Director, Team Leader, Research Scientist, and Associate Scientist. Prior to joining Precision BioSciences, Cassie worked as a Life Science Specialist at VWR. Cassie also has extensive experience from their time at the University of Notre Dame, where they were a PhD candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant. During their doctoral research, Cassie focused on understanding cell death mechanisms in extracellular matrix-detached epithelial cells, particularly in the context of cancer metastasis. Cassie also worked as a Research Technician at the University of Kansas Medical Center, conducting experiments on the effects of anthrax lethal toxin on blood flow using intravital microscopy.
Cassie Gorsuch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Rockhurst University. Cassie also has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame.
