Kevin Neal has a diverse work experience. Kevin most recently worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Precedent starting in March 2023. Before that, they were a Senior Data Scientist at Carpe Data from August 2022 to January 2023 and a Data Scientist at Carpe Data from June 2020 to August 2022.

In 2020, Kevin was a Health Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science from January to May. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles from September 2013 to June 2019. In this role, they conducted research in amphibian species conservation, analyzed genomic and environmental data, and collaborated with various organizations.

Before their time at UCLA, Kevin held roles as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Villanova University from August 2011 to August 2013, a Curatorial Assistant at the University of Washington from October 2010 to June 2011, and a Wildlife Intern at the Chicago Botanic Garden from April to September 2010.

Kevin's earlier experiences include being a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Brown University from January 2007 to May 2009, and a Geology Field Camp Participant at Idaho State University in June 2008.

Kevin Neal began their education journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology-Biology from Brown University between 2005 and 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biology at Villanova University from 2011 to 2015. Kevin then furthered their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biology from UCLA, spanning from 2013 to 2019.
