Thom Weidlich has been working in the communications and journalism industry since 1991. Thom's career began as a Staff Reporter/Editorial Assistant at The National Law Journal, where they covered the law-firm beat and wrote features and news articles on the culture, business, and management of large law firms, as well as the social-policy beat. In 1996, they moved to Direct as a Managing Editor/Senior Writer/Writer, managing a staff of five writers and overseeing traffic flow. From 1999 to 2004, they worked as a Features Editor at PRWeek, assigning, editing, and proofreading seven stories each week totaling at least 7,100 words. During this time they were also a News Editor at PRWeek Magazine. From 2004 to 2012, Thom Weidlich was a Reporter at Bloomberg News, covering a range of legal issues and writing clear and accurate news stories about complex legal and financial issues. In 2014, they joined PRCG | Haggerty LLC as a Managing Director, writing, editing, and advising clients on media strategy around crises and litigation. Finally, since 2015, they have been the Chief Content Manager at CrisisResponsePro, monitoring major news stories involving crises and litigation to write and edit content posts for this subscription-based web portal, producing Mail Chimp-based email newsletters, and marketing via WordPress blog, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Thom Weidlich received a Master of Arts (M.A.) in American Thom'story from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Liberal Arts, with a focus on philosophy and writing from Eugene Lang College, New School for Social Research, and completed a continuing education course in Financial Public Relations and Investor Relations from New York University.
