Lance Campbell serves as the Superintendent for Sam Rayburn Independent School District since November 2020, after previously holding the same title at Lone Oak Independent School District from July 2013 to November 2020, Cumby Independent School District from July 2009 to June 2013, and Whitewright Independent School District from July 2008 to June 2009 as High School Principal. Additionally, Lance Campbell was Principal at Sam Rayburn ISD from July 2004 to June 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education from Tarleton State University obtained between 1998 and 2002 and a Bachelor of Science in History and Physical Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce completed between 1989 and 1991.
