Amy Skarka has several years of experience in various roles related to marketing, advertising, and project management. Amy is currently working as the Advertising Director at Forum Communications Co. since December 2022. Previously, they worked as the Youth Enrichment & Marketing Coordinator at Alexandria Public Schools from June 2016 to December 2022, where they focused on coordinating and implementing non-school day/after school enrichment programs for youth and creating promotional marketing materials. Before that, Amy worked at Spectrum Marketing Services from July 2014 to June 2016, where they served as an Account Manager and Sales Representative, promoting and selling marketing services and collaborating with customers to develop creative solutions for brand promotion. Amy also had a developmental opportunity as the Director of Marketing at Spectrum Marketing Services from July 2015 to December 2015, where they oversaw web development, graphic design, and account manager departments while managing project workflows. Prior to that, Amy worked at Tastefully Simple from August 2002 to July 2014 as a Marketing Production Manager, responsible for managing production, developing marketing strategies, and handling project timelines.

Amy Skarka has a comprehensive education history that includes multiple degrees and certifications. Amy obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Marketing from Alexandria Technical and Community College, where they studied from 2014 to 2017. Prior to this, they completed a Diploma in Administrative Assistant from the same institution, attending from 2001 to 2003. Amy also pursued studies at Winona State University from 1997 to 1998, specializing in Paralegal studies. In addition to their academic achievements, they recently obtained a certification in Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Red Cross in December 2021.
